On November 18th, we will be partnering with fellow McCombs organizations M.S. in Technology Commercialization Program and the Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs to host a Diversity & Inclusion in Entrepreneurship Summit focused on veteran founders. This event, which will be open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the larger entrepreneurial community, will help provide valuable insights into the resources available to veterans interested in launching a business and show the ways in which the skill sets gained through entrepreneurship and military service can be applied to careers as founders or innovators within established firms.

Thank you so much for helping in the Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center’s efforts to promote this event. If you have any questions, please contact lydia.ward@mccombs.utexas.edu.

ABOUT THE SUMMIT
The Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center believes entrepreneurship should be accessible to all Longhorns. We recognize that there are many groups underrepresented in entrepreneurship that may find it difficult to connect with, and navigate, the entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus. Through the Diversity and Inclusion in Entrepreneurship Summit, the center provides role models from diverse backgrounds and experiences that can serve as positive influences on the ways in which an entrepreneurial education can increase professional opportunities.

This event will be in-person with a reception to follow.
