Research Areas: Market perceptions of financial performance, organizational identity, and human capital affect firm performance, reputation, and survival

Professor Bermiss received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NY), and a M.S. and Ph.D in Management and Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His research centers around how value is socially constructed in organizational settings. In particular, he investigates how market perceptions of financial performance, organizational identity, and human capital affect firm performance, reputation, and survival.
